Well it is official.
My baby girl is a kindergartener.
It didn't really hit me until this morning and then the tears began to fall.
Koby is such a gem, he assured me that he would help her with her lunchbox at lunchtime and pick her up in her classroom at then end of the day.
How many big brothers do you know that will volunteer to do that? Having your name on your backpack makes life more bearable ;)
So do knee socks and mary janes...
And here she is with her emotional mama, smiling through her tears!
For the rest of you out in blogland, Happy Back to School!
Oh sweetie......it is so hard....I know we had this with Evan last year.....and him walking with his book bag into the school made my daughter and my heart break....we both cried!!!! She sure is styling in her awesome outfit and what a great BIG Brother!!!! Thinking of you today!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo you had to send your stylish little sweetie to big girl school. I soooo remember that feeling, even though it was many, many years ago. It's that same feeling I got driving away from Keri on Sunday as she stood on the curb at her apartment complex. I, too, sent my little sweetie off to big girl school. :) I wish we lived closer and we could cry on each other's shoulder. Sending you a monster cyber hug!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that Koby is so helpful and protective...made my heart go pitter-patter at the thought. Be proud Momma! You have 2 adorable little ones!!!!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! She looks sooooooooo pretty for her 1st day....and what an AWESOME big brother she has! :):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! I love Mia's outfit- the socks and mary janes are adorable. "Amen" on the back to school. Ava is gone and Sophie is going next week. Maybe I will get a new class designed???
ReplyDeleteI cried for both of mine too. Especially the last one. Now he's in second grade and its feels like just yesterday was kindergarten!! I wish they could stay little longer.
ReplyDeleteAww, tara, you and your kids are all so adorable!! What a sweet boy you have there, offering to take care of his little sis! Hope it went well!
